 Greetings, lots of new and exciting things happening at PRSA Chicago!
We recently partnered with BizBash, Windy City Social and NIRI to give additional networking opportunities and values to our members.
On a national note, we are busy gearing up for the PRSA National Convention held in Washington D.C. October 16-19. On Saturday October 16, I will be joining members Amy Littleton of KemperLesnik Communications, Joel Curran APR of MS&L, Joyce Lofstrom, APR, of Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), Julie Schaefer, APR of Winning Presence - Executive Communications and John Brooks APR of Evangelical Lutheran Church in America to serve as chapter delegates for our national assembly. This meeting is held yearly in conjunction with the PRSA National Conference to review and vote on policies and give our chapter a voice.
The 2010 Nominating Committee met July 31 – August 1 right here in Chicago to select 2011 national leaders. We were so pleased to have Edward Bury, Principal at Open Door Communications and PRSA Chicago Accreditation Chair, as our district representative. We truly appreciate his time and effort on this extremely important process.
A big congratulations to Joyce Lofstrom for being nominated as a Leadership Assembly Delegate-at-Large at the 2011 Assembly. Joyce is the Senior Manager of Corporate Communications for HIMSS, as well as the chair of the PRSA Chicago Accreditation Committee. Joyce will stand for election at the national conference.
We also have some must-see educational panels coming up in September and October. Be sure to check out our social media outlets to keep on the latest news too!
