Jennifer Gremmels is a former local television reporter in markets in Michigan and Florida. She has more than twelve years experience working in public relations. Jennifer began her public relations career at a crisis management firm in Washington, D.C. She has done health care PR for more than a decade both in corporate, agency and non-profit settings. She received her APR seven years ago and a Masters in Public Service with a focus on healthcare policy in 2010.

Joyce is Director, Corporate Communications, for Chicago-based HIMSS, the largest US, cause-based, not-for-profit organization exclusively focused on improving healthcare with the best use of information technology. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and of the PRSA Health Academy Executive Committee; co-chair of the Health Academy’s 2010 and 2012 conferences and board member of the PRSA Chicago chapter. She earned her BS in home economics-journalism and MS in human environmental sciences and communications from the University of Missouri
